Royal Caribbean Explorer Of The Seas

I Am Going On A Cruise Soon, I Would Like To Know If Anyone Has Been On The Explorer Of The Seas, If So Is It A Good Cruise.

Answer :
Berlitz "Ocean Cruising and Cruise Ships" by Douglas Ward.
Explorer of the Sea - ****
Berlitz ratings: Ship possible points 500; achieved 431
Accommodation possible points 200; achieved 160
Food possible points 400; achieved 252
Service possible points 400; achieved 294
Entertainment possible points 100; achieved 83
Cruise possible points 400; achieved.
Overall score: 1,537 out of a possible 2,000 points

Overview - A large, stunning floating leisure resort ,,,, with its large proportions the ship provides more facilities and options and caters to more passengers than any other RCI has in the past.
The cabin hallways are warm and attractive .... once inside the ship you'll need good walking shoes, particularly to go from one end to the other - it really is a long way.
There is a casino fwd of the aquarium bar; there is a regulation size ice-skating rink, stunning two-deck library which has had $12 million spent on artwork.
Several shops on the Royal Promenade - jewellery shop, gift shop, liquor shop and a souvenir shop.
Large TV studio conference centre, wedding chapel, etc. etc. The pool and open deck areas provide a resort-like environment.
It goes on and on about accomjmodation, cruisine/dining/entertainment/spa & fitness.
There may be a virtual tour if you try googling it.
Have a lovely holiday - you didn't say where you are going. We're doing RCI Baltic cruise in 3 weeks for our wedding anniversary.

I have been on the Adventure and the Mariner with RC which are the same class ship. They have the same amenities but the decor, and names of the dining rooms, and theaters are different. Its a great ship! Lots to do.
Have fun!

Can you please tell me if you enjoyed Carnival's Destiny or RC's Explorer of the Seas? Thank you!

Hi! Can you please tell me if you enjoyed cruising on Carnival's Destiny or Royal Caribbeans ship Explorer of the Seas? I am really looking for some feed back from prior cruisers to help us make decisions on our family's next cruise vacation. Any comments or information would be deeply appreciated! Thank you very much and have a great day! MJ :)

Answer :
I have been on both of these ships, as well as many other cruises within the two companies. RCCL in general tends to be more elegant, not as much as the QM2 or anything but they want people to feel more respectful. Carnival, in my experience has been the most fun party wise. I like to go to the bars and mingle with people on board, and carnival seems to have more cruisers like me. The boats specifically, the Destiny is carnivals oldest ship that is still in the fleet. I took this ship last year on the southern carribean and it was nice. Since it is older the stabilizers are not as good. They are still adequate though, there was only one night that it was pretty bad. My boyfriend had a hard time seeing the curtains in the theater move from side to side. I think that the children's programs on both ships are awesome. I have a little sister that cries when the kids program closes. They close for a few hours each day. I think the Explorer has more artwork to look at through the halls and I like the staff better. It just depends more on the company that you like not necessarily the ship. Price also counts to me, so which ever you can get the best deal on is what I would do. With either of these ships, you will not be disappointed.

I hope that helped you.

Answer :
Destiny by far! The shows are awesome especially the second one. It was honestly best cruise i have ever been on, the ship is beautiful and there is a lot to do. RC is more expensive and the cabins are way smaller. To be honest I just got off the Destiny yesterday, really, really great cruise!

Answer :
I've never been on a Carnival ship but I can tell you Explorer will not disappoint. If you have a family going w/ different age ranges, you can find something to entertain everyone. Carnival is more known for the younger party crowd, but I could be totally wrong.

Really to answer, we'd need more info on what ur looking for in a cruise.

Need to know a sea navigator who discovered land in the 19th century?

I need to compare a renaiisance sea explorer(Ferdinand Magallan) with a modern day sea explorer, know of anyone?.The person can be born in the late 1800s but must have died sometime in the 1900s.thanks!

Answer :
That's a pretty hard question to answer, because most land had been found by this time. However, below is a list of names of Polar explorers (North and south). I know some of them definitely found land chiefly small islands in the south.

Ernest Shackleton (Check this guy out first - he's a legend)
Robert Falcon Scott
Adrien De Gerlache
George Comer
William Speirs Bruce
Robert Bartlett
Roald Amundsen

Whew you must get something out of these guy's.
