Anyone sail the Explorer of the Seas?

Any tips on the ship would be helpful!!

Answer :
I have not sailed on the Explorer but I have sailed on two of its twins sister ships which are identical, the Adventure and the Mariner. So I am familiar with what is on board the ship.

First of all you should click on this link to a virtual view and tour of the Voyager class ships:

http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruis…

It will help you see and understand some of what is on board and where it is.

At the front of the ship on one of deck 11 there is a full service gymnasium will all types of exercise equipment. Then there is a covered pool area next to that that has a pool and two hot tubs. Then you go further back and step outside and there are two pools and 4 hot tubs with lounge chairs and bar service. Then toward the back of the ship on deck 12 is the kids area called Adventure Ocean, the Video Arcade, the Teen Disco, then on deck 13 is the Rock Climbing wall, the basketball court, the in-line roller skating track, a mini-golf course, and Johnny Rockets. So if you like these type activities the back of the ship up top is the place to go.

When you first board the ship the place to go to get something to eat (lunch will be ready) is the Windjammer Cafe which is on deck 11.

The ship has a pedestrian mall down its center and there is a place to shop and get food 24/7, including hot pizza.

The ship also has an internet cafe on deck 8, and a library on deck 9. The ice skating rink is on deck 3 in the center of the ship. There will be a free ice show in that room that you should not miss.

So the ship has a lot for your to do and see.

Answer :
The Explorer of the Seas is a wonderful ship. It is a Voyager class ship of Royal Caribbean. It has the wonderful Promenade in the center of the ship where they will hold parades and parties. It actually is a shopping mall area. there is a pastry shop on the Promenade that is opened about 23 of the 24 hours and they serve free pizza, pastries, large cookies and finger sandwiches along with coffee and teas. There are soft serve ice cream machines at the pool areas and an "adult only" section by the spa which has it's own pool and four hot tubs. It is really a wonderful oasis from the party pool area. Room service is good and served quickly. And don't forget the 4 o'clock tea in the buffet area, delicious! I cannot say one bad thing about this ship. You will have a wonderful time!!

Answer :

Are the explorer of the seas and freedom of the seas similar ships?10 POINTS BEST ANSWER!!?

are the ships alike alot, not at all, sort of or...
and what are some of the similaraties and differences...10 POINTS BEST ANSWER!!!

Answer :
If you go to the Royal Caribbean website, you can find detailed descriptions of all their ships, deck plans, etc. A quick look suggests that they are probably similar, as they are the same class of ship.

http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruis…

You can also google "cruise ship reviews" to find the opinions of people who have taken the various ships/cruises, but remember that you're always going to find people who complain no matter what. My personal experience is that a cruise is a wonderful, relaxing vacation, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Answer :
They are quite different.

Explorer was built in 2000. Freedom was built in 2006.

Explorer holds 3,100 guests, Freedom 3,600 guests.

Explorer is 1,020 ft long. Freedom is 1,112 ft long.

Being smaller Explorer moves at 23 knots. Freedom only 21.

They are decorated with different decor.

Explorer has the ice skating rink, the rock climbing wal, putt putt and a full sized basketball courtl. Freedom has all of those, an H20 zone, Flowrider, flat screen tvs in every room, whirlpools, and a full sized boxing ring.

Freedom has 15 decks and is the largest thing sailing on the ocean. Plus from the outside it just looks impressive. It is a beautiful ship.

Explorer is a great ship and I'll probably go my next cruise on it or one of its sister ships, so don't think I'm bashing it. But you are comparing it to something newer bigger and better.

Need ASAP explorer of the seas RCCL?

Im going on a cruise in 2 days and i was just wondering if the explorerf of the seas on royal caribbean has any billiard tables anywhere thanks a lot

Answer :
NO, the only Royal Caribbean ships with billiard tables are their Radiance Class ships, the Radiance of the Seas, Brilliance of the Seas, Jewel of the Seas, and Serenade of the Seas. These ships have the self leveling tables in one a billiards room near one of the lounges. If you click on the virtual tour link below you can see a photo of it.

I have not cruised on the Voyager of the Seas but HAVE cruised on two of its twin sister ships the Mariner and Adventure of the seas. No billiards but rock climbing wall, roller skating, ice skating, basketball, and mini-golf. Lots to do.

You may want to take a look at the Voyager's virtual tour on this web link: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/multimedia…
