I want a little info on the royal carribbean ship and cruise?

well im going the explorer of the seas royal carribbean ship for 12 days. All i know is that they will serve dinner at like 8:30 pm.,does that mean i haev to buy lunch and breakfast?or is it included?Because i heard there were a coupld of resturants on the ship and i thought you have to pay for them inorder to eat?

Answer :
You WILL NOT have to buy any food on ship. You have either selected or be assigned to the second dinner seating on the ship which starts at 8:30 PM in the ship's main dining room. However, the ship also has a free buffet area that is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner called the Windjammer Cafe. You can go get something to eat there any time of day or evening from about 6:30 to 7:00 AM until about 10:00 PM.

In addition, while I have not been on the Explorer, I have been on two of its twin sister ships, the Adventure and the Mariner of the Seas and can tell you there is food available 24/7 on the pedestrian promenade in the center of the ship. The food available 24/7 will include sandwiches, pizza, and deserts, plus coffee and tea.

In addition, you will have available free room service that is available 24/7. The ship will have an old style diner called Johnny Rockets which serves hamburgers, onion rings, fries, etc and the cost there is a $3.95 service charge. Then there is a specialty restaurant, called Portofino, where you can go eat if you want but it has a gratuity fee of $20 per person each time.

You will not be able to eat all of the free food that is available.

Answer :
It sounds like you have been assigned the late seating in the formal dining room. Its similar to going to a restaurant but the reservations has already been made for you. You will sit at the same table every night. For breakfast and lunch you may go back to the formal dining room, where you will be escorted to the first available table. This is fun because you get to talk to other cruisers and find out what fun things they've done or where they're from. Or you can go to the informal buffet style restaurant and just pick up whatever you like to eat. The third option is to order room service. All of these choices are included in your cruise price (except if you eat in one of the specialty restaurants). Please remember to tip the person who brings room service because these people do NOT get to share in the pool of tips. Plus you get really really good service once they know you tip. You're going to have a wonderful time. Bon Voyage. I envy you.

Answer :
Some cruises have a couple of "specialty restaurants" that require you to pay a certain amount of money (I'd say about $20-40 each). Other non-specialties are already included in your payment.

Answer :
It is included. You go to the buffet for breakfast and lunch.
